Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Appointo mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

Appointo is a platform that connects clients with barbers for the purpose of discovering, booking, and paying for grooming services. We facilitate bookings and payments but do not provide grooming services ourselves. The quality of services is the sole responsibility of the barber.

3. User Accounts

• • You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• • You are responsible for keeping your password secure.
• • You must be at least 16 years old to use the app.
• • One account per person. Sharing accounts is prohibited.
• • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Bookings & Cancellations

4.1 Booking

Clients can book appointments based on barber availability. Bookings may be auto-accepted or require manual approval, depending on the barber's settings.

4.2 Deposits

Barbers may require deposits to secure bookings. Deposits are processed through Stripe. If a barber declines a booking, any deposit hold is released immediately.

4.3 Cancellations

Cancellation policies are set by each barber. Deposits may be forfeited for late cancellations or no-shows, subject to the barber's stated policy. Refunds for eligible cancellations are processed through Stripe.

5. Payments

• • All payments are processed securely by Stripe.
• • Barbers receive payouts via Stripe Connect to their linked bank account.
• • Appointo does not take a commission on individual transactions.
• • Barber subscription fees are billed monthly through the app stores or Stripe.
• • Clients are never charged booking fees.

6. Barber Subscriptions

Barbers may choose from Basic (free) or Pro (£24.99/month) plans. Subscription benefits are described in the app. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Content & Conduct

• • Barbers are responsible for the content they upload (photos, videos).
• • Content must not be illegal, offensive, or infringe on others' rights.
• • Reviews must be honest and based on genuine bookings.
• • We reserve the right to remove content or reviews that violate these terms.
• • Harassment, discrimination, or abuse of any kind will result in account termination.

8. Reviews

Only clients with confirmed bookings can leave reviews. We do not moderate reviews before publication but may remove reviews that are fraudulent, abusive, or violate our content policies.

9. Intellectual Property

The Appointo app, logo, and brand are our intellectual property. Barbers retain ownership of content they upload and grant us a license to display it within the app for discovery and booking purposes.

10. Disclaimers

• • Appointo is a platform. We do not guarantee the quality of any barber's services.
• • We are not liable for disputes between clients and barbers.
• • The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• • We are not responsible for downtime, data loss, or service interruptions.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Appointo shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access for violations of these terms. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
